Happy August to our San Diego Worldwide Marriage Encounter Community! August is a great time to mark your calendars for some upcoming events in the coming months as you’re basking in the warmth the summer.
Our September 9-10 Marriage Encounter Experience will be hosted at the Green Oak Ranch Retreat Center in Vista. Maps and instructions for how to navigate the campground and where to park will be shared with all prayer couples and attendees. The weekend has been made into a two-day, non-residential format, to make it as viable as possible to proceed. Please look for an official “go” e-mail from your community leaders about two weeks out from the event. We will need help with prayer couples and also couples to deliver and set up the meals we’ll be catering for the attendees. We will be hosting this year’s annual Sunset Dialogue event at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas on Saturday, October 7. Mark your calendars to save the date to share a meal, enjoy a romantic focus presentation, and dialogue by the light of the setting sun over the ocean. It is delightful and we hope to see you there.

- Northeast is meeting on Saturday, August 12
- Northwest is meeting on Saturday, August 26 (a pool party to go with this one!)
- East County usually meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month
- This month North Valley is attending an event “On Fire for the Faith: the Christian Mission in a Techno-World,” at St. Therese of Carmel in San Diego, featuring Cy Kellett from Catholic Answers. The event begins with a reception at 6:30pm and talk at 7:00pm. Encountered couples will convene for a dialogue and dessert after the talk as well.
And it wouldn’t be a community update without dialogue questions, so please help yourself to this month’s list. Dialoguing daily is a wonderful way to keep your relationship tuned up and humming, even when the days are hot.\!
