Happy October, San Diego Lovers!
We have big news for San Diego Marriage Encounter! After a beautiful and Holy Spirit filled leadership selection process on Saturday, September 30, new leaders have emerged to serve our San Diego Encounter. Many thanks to Mike & Sandra Spitzer and Fr. Mike Ravenkamp for their “yes.” Also, thanks to our region leaders Mike & Lisa Bergler for facilitating the process.
This month, there are fun events happening in the San Diego Encounter.
Our annual Sunset Dialogue is just around the corner on Saturday, October 7 at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, starting at 4:30pm. Bring your dialogue books, something to eat and drink for yourselves, and prepare for a romantic presentation and dialogue experience against a perfect backdrop. Just look for the WWME pop-up tent in the grass area behind the playground. Refer to the flier above for more information or use the contact form on this site if you have questions or would like us to add you to the Evite if you don’t have it already.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter celebrates World Priest Day on Sunday, October 22. All are encouraged to celebrate the priests in your life on this day, and especially to pray for our priests as well as for more vocations to the priesthood.
Upcoming dates for community meetings are listed below. Please reach out to us using the contact form if you’d like any assistance getting in touch with your local community in San Diego County:
- Northeast Community will meet on Saturday, October 14
- East County Community usually meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month
- North Valley Community will meet on Saturday, October 21
- Northwest Community will meet on Saturday, October 21
Please save the date for our upcoming November weekend. We will need a lot of prayer couples, because the weekend already has a wait list! This November weekend will be held at Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside on November 17 – 19.
The next weekend dates in the beginning of 2024 have been posted on the national and local websites. These are February 2 – 4 and April 12 -14. They have been posted and are available for applications. If you would like brochures to help invite couples you know to these Weekends, please reach out to us!
The launch Mass for the 2025 International Convention was held on September 23, 2023 in Trinidad, which is where the convention will be hosted on June 20-22, 2025. Start planning now to attend this amazing WWME event! To learn more, visit the website.
Finally, as always, we have dialogue questions for you. Daily dialogue is at the heart of all that we do in this ministry. Don’t forget that October 10 is 10/10 day! We love you all and look forward to seeing you at upcoming events in San Diego!
