January Newsletter
Happy New Year! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday and New Year celebrations with your spouses and families. Our San Diego Worldwide Marriage Encounter community has a lot of activity lined up for the coming year, so be sure to keep an eye open for our monthly newsletters.
We are starting the year off with a bang that includes Bunko and Pie! Northwest and North Valley will be having their annual Epiphany party on Saturday, January 6 at the home of Scott and Sarah in Oceanside. The next day, Sunday, January 7, Northeast and East County will be having their annual Pie Party at the home of Curt and Isabella in Poway. All Encountered couples are invited to either event. Regular monthly events:
- East County usually meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month.
- Northeast Community usually meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month.
- North Valley communities usually meets on the 3rd Saturday of the month.
- Northwest Community usually meets on the 4th Saturday of the month.
Our upcoming Encounter Weekend Experience is February 2-4 and will be held at St Charles Retreat Center in Imperial Beach. It is already at capacity with a waiting list. We anticipate we’ll have about 15 attending couples. Please work with your community leaders and prayer couple coordinators to support the weekend by praying for one of the couples attending. We also encourage our recent attendees to “pray it forward” by praying for one of the February couples.
Each year, the Diocese of San Diego sponsors an anniversary Mass in February in celebration of World Marriage Day. This year’s Mass will be held on Saturday, February 3 at the Immaculata in San Diego. For more information about this event, check out the Diocese of San Diego website.
Last, but never least, we have dialogue questions, one for each day of the month. Remember that daily dialogue is a great way to stay in relationship with each other. We encourage you all to dialogue every day.
