We want to begin this month’s update with a heart-felt thank you to all of the community who supported the April 14-16 weekend attendees with your prayers and presence at the beginning of the weekend and at the end as well. San Diego WWME couples are the best! We are happy for the 14 couples who completed the weekend experience. To those of you who signed up to receive our community updates, welcome to the family!
We also had our annual Sweetheart Dinner & Dance. We were happy to see all 25 couples who signed up for the event there and we know everyone had a great time.
Our next WWME weekend will be on June 3 – 4. It will be our first two-day, non-residential format in San Diego. We will need the help of our community for prayers and some logistical and meal support at the facility. The weekend will be hosted at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Carlsbad. Be on the lookout for more details coming your way from your community leaders shortly!
Orange County Encounter and Encuentro are teaming up to host a Memorial Day Picnic. It will be on Monday, May 29 from 11am to 4pm at William R. Mason Regional Park (18712 University Dr., Irvine, CA 92612). This three region (!) event promises to be amazing. It will kick off with Mass, then lunch, then games. Use the Sign Up Genius form to volunteer to bring food, supplies, and/or be a part of the crew.
We encourage you to join up with your local community. If you need help finding them, please use the site contact form to reach out and we’ll get you in touch with the group closest to you. Upcoming dates for community meetings in May are listed below.
- East County will meet on Friday, May 12 and Friday, May 26
- Northeast will meet on Saturday, May 13
- North Valley will meet on Saturday, May 20
- Northwest will meet on Saturday, May 27
